Captain Arsenio was a curious man who liked more then anything, to tinker and explore. One day in 1782, he decided he would put his unusual skills to work in a most ambitious way: He would build a flying machine.

This sophisticated picture book is an interesting mix of history of now and then. It has complex words and pictures that younger kids would find hard to read so it is better suited to older students.

Henry P. Baloney may be from another planet, but he's got problems just like you. If he doesn't come up with one very good excuse for being late, his teacher is promising him Permanent Life Long Detention.


This story is about a Green alien named Baloney and he is telling his teacher why he was late to school in the morning and why he didn't make it in time. He talked for a very long time about what happened and when it happened but his teacher did not believe him.

This wordless picture book is about environmental destruction. The story is told through a window over a period of twenty four years. Although this sophisticated picture book has no words, it has very complex pictures. I suggest that older readers 'read'  this book.
